Hi, I’m Amanda, and I’m so excited to welcome you to Living Wildly Well! This blog is a place where Iโll be sharing my journey, thoughts, and experiences around living a balanced, healthy life through yoga, fitness, healthy eating, gardening, and more. My goal is to inspire you to live your own version of wild, well, and authentic โ without the pressure of perfection.
A Little About Me
It’s not that my family didn’t prioritize health, it was more that it really wasn’t on their radar. They did the best they could, but that did leave me to figure out a lot on my own. Over the years, (I’m 38!) Iโve had to learn what works for me and what doesnโt, especially when it comes to fitness, nutrition, and overall well-being.
My journey into yoga started about 10 years ago, and Iโve been working out long before that. But it wasnโt just about exercise. I wanted to feel strong, grounded, and healthy, so I began focusing on eating real, whole foods and embracing the therapeutic benefits of nature.
Gardening has always been an interest of mine. Nature has always pulled me to her. About 15 years ago when I had a home of my own and a place to grow a vegetable garden, it really became a passion of mine. Thereโs something incredibly rewarding about growing your own food and connecting with nature in that way. Itโs not only about nourishing my body with fresh, healthy food but also about maintaining balance and mindfulness in my daily life.
What You Can Expect
I believe in offering practical advice, grounded in real experience and backed by solid knowledge. I wonโt just be regurgitating trends or mindlessly hopping on the latest fitness bandwagon. Instead, Iโm here to share whatโs worked for me, what Iโve learned, and how Iโm constantly adapting and growing. Life isnโt about perfection; itโs about progress, and Iโm committed to learning every day โ whether thatโs through yoga, experimenting with new recipes, or gaining new insights into fitness and wellness.
I grew up in libraries. And I was privileged to be able to work in some amazing libraries over the years. This has given me a passion for reading and a life long love of learning. You can expect great recommendations from lots of different genres and both fiction and nonfiction.
This space will be full of things that bring me joy โ from delicious recipes and gardening tips to my favorite yoga poses and hiking adventures. I want this blog to be a place where you can come for inspiration, practical advice, and a little bit of honesty about the journey weโre all on.
Meet Remington
If youโve followed me for any time, youโll know about Remington โ or Remi, as I call him. Heโs my red British lab, and heโs more than just a dog; heโs my loyal companion, the cuddliest mamaโs boy youโll ever meet, office manager, and my hiking partner in crime. Remi keeps me grounded, whether weโre adventuring on the trails or just lounging on the couch after a long day. Heโs an essential part of my life and a constant reminder of the joy that animals bring into our lives.

To date, he’s still not a fan of wearing a life vest in the water. ๐
Why Iโm Here
I created Living Wildly Well to connect with people who want to prioritize their health, explore nature, and live in a way that makes you truly happy, not because an algorithm tells you that is what you should like. Itโs all about finding balance and strength โ whether through yoga, nourishing meals, or simply enjoying the beauty around us. I hope to offer you the same inspiration that has kept me motivated on my own path.
Whether youโre here for fitness tips, gardening advice, or just some real talk about living mindfully, I hope youโll find something valuable here. My journey is ongoing, and Iโd love for you to join me as we explore and grow together.
Look for several updates a week starting in January 2025 with a Dry January challenge that I hope you’ll join!
Thank you for being here. Iโm so excited to share this adventure with you.
With gratitude,
Amanda
