This is my third year doing Dry January with friends! And I’m ready to host again!
After getting feedback each year, I’ve set this up in three different “tracks” so that you can choose your own adventure. (Shoutout to those of you know remember those books!) Below is a description of the unique tracks so you can choose the level that feels right for you:
Track One: The Classic Dry January
- In this track, you’ll focus simply on staying alcohol-free for the month. This is definitely enough! Choose this track if you’re here to enjoy a mindful break from alcohol without added goals. Sometimes, keeping it simple is the most effective way to make positive change!
Track Two: Adding Mindfulness and Movement
- Ready to go a little deeper? In track two, you will focus on staying sober for the month and adding in some weekly mindful practices and movement goals. This level adds extra intention to each day, helping you tune in with body and mind—whatever that looks like for you! Keep on track by practicing mindfulness or mediation practices 4 days, and movement/yoga/workout 3 days per week.
Track Three: All-In for Transformation
- Track three is for those ready to fully embrace the January reset. Here, we’re talking about the full classic “new year, new me” energy—but with a mindful twist. You’ll be logging alcohol-free days, movement and mindfulness practices, and embracing a bit of a challenge. Let’s see what a dedicated month can do! (In all seriousness, it’s okay if life gets in the way—consider this track an invitation to push yourself a bit more if that’s what you’re craving.) Keep on track by counting your daily points with the goal of at least 20 points each week while being mindful not to overtrain!
- 1 point each day for not drinking
- 1 point each day with a yoga practice
- 1 point each day for strength training
- 1 point each day cardio session
- 1 point each day mindfulness
- 1 point for the week for at least
following the 80/20 rule of your
healthful eating goal. - **Subtract 5 points for drinking
Your Support System: Weekly Check-Ins and Blog Updates
Each week, I’ll post updates right here on the blog, so you’ll have fresh content and motivation to stay connected. And don’t forget to check in on Instagram each Friday Jenn, Charlyne, Alex, and Amanda (me!) will all be sharing our progress and a yoga picture to check in. Join us! Feel free to share the suggested yoga pose of the week, or go with any pose or practice that speaks to you. - January 10 – Warrior or Lunge
- January17- Hip Opener
- January 24- Inversion or Arm Balance
- January 31- Heart Opener
